Callback AdminPanels:

Hi there! First of all, thank your for this great theme!

Unfortunately I can't use the admin panels properly, because I need a way to customize the remove function of this panels. I don't want to just "hide" it with the local storage, I want to remove it permanently with e.g. a AJAX request.

And, as an addition, I have don't see a way to modify the bootbox alert without modifying the core javascript.

Also, if I add a admin-grid class to my columns I'll get a Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'length' of undefined.
Hi Cyruxx,

Thank you for the detailed report of your problems. AdminPanels could use a rewrite at this point. Currently the plugin is limited to a single admin-panel wrapper instance which I find far too limiting, among other things. As you also mentioned it requires a much more thorough public API. I will throw it on the top of my todo list, next to the frontend.

But lets discuss your problems for the time being. Trying to answer your question regarding the permanent removal of an item is a bit tricky and really depends on how you are manipulating the panels server side. Each time you delete an item AdminPanels updates its localstorage object to reflect the change and then hides the panel. This gives the user a sense of instant feedback. However, when the page is reloaded/revisited and adminpanels is re-initilized it will read the localstorage object and see the item was removed. At which point it will actually remove the panel from DOM instead of just hiding it again. So technically it's not being just hidden.

Which is of course all we can do as the demo is simple unchanging HTML and is not being generated server side. If you wish to prevent the panel from being created you will need to implement that functionality in your app. Which means that at some point you will need to pull the localstorage object and save it to your database. Once you have the settings it's as simple as manipulating the object and acting upon whatever settings you wish. Just keep in mind that if you make any server side changes you will need to update the object. Otherwise any clientside uses(adminpanels) will be using old data.

Regarding Bootbox you will need to just make a copy of adminpanels.js and commit any required changes directly to the script. And if needed I can help smoothly migrate your changes into the updated version of adminpanels, when it's released of course. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Also the Uncaught TypeError you are experiencing is likely the result of directly manipulating HTML. Make sure you are clearing the pages localstorage object each time you make changes.

// Clear a browsers local storage

// Refresh a browser window

Well that's all for now. Let me know how else I can help. Cheers mate

Thank you for your fast answer. I'm really happy to see that you're actually giving awesome support. :-)

Remove: I'll implement a workaround for now (extending core.js) because I need this for a customer tomorrow. Looking forward for the extended public api.

Thank you for your tip with the uncaught typeError! It really makes sense for me now.
You should propably include this into your demo documentation.

I've just copied the JS from the main page and there is no localStorage.clear() inside of the onSave Callback. :-)

Many, many thanks!

A. Mahrt
Hi Cyruxx,

I unfortunately do not quite understand what you mean regarding the localStorage.clear() and putting it inside the onSave callback. When Adminpanels runs it loops and makes a record of every panel and its ID. And 90% of the time the error is created because a user is directly/manually editing the pages HTML (say adding or removing a panel), which will cause the panels/IDs to not match next time the script runs. This won't occur in a production environment as the HTML will exist in an environment where the user can't just directly edit its source.

That being said if you were to clear the localstorage every save it would in a sense disable the plugin as it will reset to defaults every load. But as long as you are sure its working that would be fine in a development environment. I hope that made sense. Also I attempted to document the importance of clearing localstorage at the end of this page: http://admindesigns.com/demos/absolute/README/views/plugins/admin-panels.html

Hi admindesigns,

I just realized that you're right, that wouldn't make sense.

Hi, thank you for a great template!

I'm having some problems getting the wizard to work. I've included all the required files (I think) and the wizard looks like it should but I don't think it's initialized correctly. When I press "next" the url changes (which I don't believe it should) and the first section is still active.

Can you give me an example without any required fields, the user should be able to go forward/backward without having to enter any data. Empty sections are ok.

I've included: jquery.min.js, jquery-ui.min.js, jquery.validate.min.js, main.js, adminpanels.js, jquery.steps.min.js, utility.js, demo.js, widgets.js, fullcalendar/lib/moment.min.js, fullcalendar/fullcalendar.min.js. Maybe I've missed something?

Thank you!
Hi healthbrokers,

You will have to give me a moment. Oddly enough I'm actually having trouble recreating the problem. At this point I'm trying everything I can just to get the wizard to break...

Feel free to send me your file via [email protected] It might help. Regardless I apologize for the problems.
Thank you for the quick response!

In many other views (like http://admindesigns.com/demos/absolute/1.1/ui_tabs.html) there are links to the source code HTML, but not for the wizard: http://admindesigns.com/demos/absolute/1.1/admin_forms-wizard.html.

It would be great to get an HTML and JS snippet for a basic wizard to understand how it is initialized. I bet it's something like:
$("#admin-form").steps(...); (?)

When I just copy the HTML starting from <div class="admin-form"> I don't get the same functionality.
What a beautiful piece of work. I had to cram to get a UI demo for someone in just a couple of days... and luckily found this theme. Kudos!

Question... How can I get it to default to any theme setting I want it to. It hold the setting in cache once I make it.. but I want to have it always deliver a single color scheme (Navbar and Sidebar) and can't get it to.

Hello there,

I found 2 defects:

#1 - when you enable fixed breadcrumbs and click to show the right sidebar, it opens below breadcrumbs and content on very top is hidden by breadcrumbs

#2 - when you scroll the page down and click to show the 'tools' (the button on navbar that shows big buttons with options like messages, users, support, etc.) it is showed on the top of the page so it gets hidden

Let me know if you are not able to understand from my description and I can send you screenshots

Any comment on this one?
Seriously. Thought I was going to have support on this. There are several bugs and questions to be answered. I need help.
ZzzZZzz very busy with updates on themeforest http://themeforest.net/item/admindesigns-bootstrap-admin-template-framework/9903221 that you can not answer customers here
great theme, but it is all sorts of jacked up in IE9.
Thanks for a great template. I'm having some issues with retrieving the value of checkboxes.

I've implemented your template with an ASPMVC solution, and everything is working perfect, except when I'm working with checkboxes. Do you have any suggestions as to how I can set the default value of checkbox, and also how I can retrieve the value of checkbox once it's been selected?

Why are you using jQuery 1.x instead of 2.x? Any special reason?

Thank you.
i would assume because jQuery 2.x supports less browsers (mainly IE), but considering this is set to only work in IE9+, that is a good question. And even more, since this theme doesnt actually work in IE9, it brings up other questions and issues.
I changed to jquery 2.x and it seems to work good, not tested all features, but author should validate and maybe support it.
Thank you for your awesome job! I love it!
Dear Seller,

If I purchase this theme then all future updates will also accessible to me?

This template comes with seed project?
This is one of the best looking admin templates I've ever seen on WrapBootstrap. The only thing keeping me from purchasing it is the lack of AngularJS integration and to some extent, the authors' increasingly slow responses to other posters (though that could be because they are busy reworking an Angular version ;-)).

For what I've been reading, it also lacks support from the owner.

I'm still waiting for them to respond on that jQuery 2.x question.

I am a Chinese boy, I like it very much.
Can you provide a blank page? Thank you very much.

Sorry, I didn't notice it. I saw a blank page on the weekend.
Hi there

Struggling a little with the sidebar. On mobile devices it seems to appear then disappear each time the page is loaded. Also, it seems to open to a minimized state on mobile rather than the full menu.

I don't see how to change this behaviour. I've looked at the code but it isn't obvious how to fix this.

Another minor niggle is that there is no company logo when on a mobile device.

I really want to use this template but the sidebar is troubling me. Please can you advise? Thanks!

Hello Admindesigns. Thank you for this theme. I found a small flaws: animation from this theme conflict with animatecss library https://daneden.github.io/animate.css/ Sory for my English.

Yep, Sorry, my mistake, delete this please =)

Glyphicons Pro icons doesn't work.
For example in left navigation menu I am trying to user "glyphicons glyphicons-group" and nothing happened.

What need to do that activate this fonts?
Thank you.
In static left side tray demo, two scrollbars are shown at the same time, overlapped: normal scrollbar and small tray-scroll.
It would be nice to remove the "normal" scroll bar.

Thanks for this awesome theme.
I know I will get nothing once you have left buyers...

Is anybody there?
Hi. There is a bug with navbar dropdowns
Dropdown arrow shown incorrectly starting from 2nd <li> item.
<ul class="nav navbar-nav navbar-left">
<li class="dropdown menu-merge">
<a href="#" class="dropdown-toggle" data-toggle="dropdown" role="button" aria-expanded="false">Dropdown
<span class="caret caret-tp"></span>
<ul class="dropdown-menu" role="menu">
<li><a href="#">Action</a></li>
<li><a href="#">Another action</a></li>
<li><a href="#">Something else here</a></li>
<li class="divider"></li>
<li><a href="#">Separated link</a></li>
<li class="dropdown menu-merge">
<a href="#" class="dropdown-toggle" data-toggle="dropdown" role="button" aria-expanded="false">Dropdown
<span class="caret caret-tp"></span>
<ul class="dropdown-menu" role="menu">
<li><a href="#">Action</a></li>
<li><a href="#">Another action</a></li>
<li><a href="#">Something else here</a></li>
<li class="divider"></li>
<li><a href="#">Separated link</a></li>
Hi Sway,

Sorry for the problems and you are indeed correct that this is a bug. For an unexplainable reason we applied the "left arrow" style only to the first menu item. To fix add the style listed below to a custom stylesheet of your choosing. Please let me know if you are still having problems.

.navbar-left > li.dropdown.open .dropdown-menu:after,
.navbar-left > li.dropdown > .open .dropdown-menu:after {
left: 10px;
right: auto;
Thank you! This fixed the problem. =)
