I had some difficulty with the homepage footer part while separating the header and footer as layout.

Some of home page content and the footer are all in a div with "main" class. That felt wrong.

I had to put the footer in a div with "main" class and edit the style.css to make footer's margin-top zero.

I would have preferred if you targeted the footer for styling independent from page content.
Maybe you are right but the specific decision was made in order to achieve the "collapsing header effect" Thanks for the tip anyway :)
Header part takes too much height on 7-inch tablet screen(800x1280 resolution) landscape. Here is the screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/3XkO98K.png

How can I get the links into the menu button at that screen like this?: http://i.imgur.com/1x0oZvS.png
You have to work with { LESS }.

Step 1.
Go to less/custom_variables.less file and replace on line 305 "@grid-float-breakpoint:@screen-sm-min;" --> to --> "@grid-float-breakpoint:@screen-sm-max;"

Step 2.
Recompile the less/style.less file to the pre existing style.css on the root folder
Always remember to keep a backup of your style.css file if you made changes there.

I have a client that I set up using version 4.0 and I'd like to update them to 4.1. Is there a list of files that were changed or added? I didn't make too many changes to the originals but there are some minor mods that I would rather not overwrite and I also don't want to go file by file and compare.

Thank you.
Hello Asim,

unfortunately there is no list of files changed from 4.0 to 4.1 but the changes where of rather minor importance so I wouldn't update if were you unless I needed Video Background and the IE9 slider fix.
Check the changelog:
1. IE9 slider caption z-index FIX
2. Background YouTube Video Sections (elements.html)
I'm having some difficulty getting the collapsing header to work right.

Can you help me out?

Hey, congratulations,

As cooperation could do to make this menu always on top.

Thank you

Question: My Dreamweaver complains about a syntax error in
<script>window.jQuery || document.write('<script src="js/jquery-1.9.0.min.js"><\/script>')</script>

Any idea why?

hello how to make the horizontal bar at the top?
I seem to have a problem with my slider on the portfolio.item page when i upload it. Work fine on dreamweaver and it looks great but as soon as i upload it on the net it comes up as separate image and the slide doesnt appear. Does anyone have any problems and solution to this? Thank you
Hi! Awesome Template!

But one little question: How can I make the Name and Email of the sender appearing in the mail sent via contactform?
I know that the email appears when clicking on reply but I want the Name and Email right inside the Message.
The format of the message is not transmitted correctly as well.

I hope I can get an answer and - once again - very nice work!
How do I get the header to always stay?

I'm running into an issue. If the top nav pulldown menus have many items, they load behind the page content instead of in front. I have to add "position: inherit" to the page div's and then they load behind the menus. However, this is not a viable option in all situations and I'd like to know if this is a known issue or if there's a fix for it.

Thank you.
How can I fix printing? Both Edge and Chrome display it like a bomb went off. Text is on top of each other and out of order. I thought it was something I did, but it does it on the originating files. v.4.2
Hi! I love your theme. I do have a question, if you can help. For some reason the following code:

<section id="slider_wrapper" class="slider_wrapper full_page_photo">
<div id="main_flexslider" class="flexslider">
<ul class="slides">
<li class="item" style="background-image: url(images/1.jpg)">
<div class="container">
<div class="carousel-caption">
<h1>a <strong>flexible</strong> theme<br>
you can <strong>trust</strong> & <strong>build upon</strong>!</h1>
<p class="lead skincolored">Re<strong>start</strong> is based on <strong>good typography</strong> and <strong>large photography</strong>, serving as a foundation for your creative projects. Feel free to browse its templates and discover its features.</p>
<span class="round_badge"><strong><i class="fa fa-twitter"></i></strong><strong>V3</strong></span> </div>
<li class="item" style="background-image: url(images/2.jpg)">
<div class="container">
<div class="carousel-caption">
<h1>makes <strong>real use</strong><br>
of the power of <strong>{LESS}</strong> syntax!</h1>
<p class="lead skincolored">Restart was built with heavy use of {less} technology, making the life of the web developer easier!</p>
<li class="item" style="background-image: url(images/3.jpg)">
<div class="container">
<div class="carousel-caption">
<h1 class="skincolored"><strong>subtle</strong> animations<br>
& a <strong>fresh</strong> collapsing <strong>header effect</strong></h1>
<p class="lead">if you are looking for <a href="services.html"><strong>a bold approach</strong></a> you will love the header effect,<br>
but even if you like <a href="page_alternative.html"><strong>a more conservative feel</strong></a>, you can always try the boxed alternative!</p>

does not show up on iPhones, iPads etc. We need a responsive website, and I would really appreciate it if you could give me a solution to this.
Never mind. I figured it out. Thanks anyway!

I am wanting to use a blog on my page that is easily updated. What is the best way for me to do about doing this with this template?
you could transform it into a WordPress theme or any other CMS.
