Bootstrap 4 (https://blog.getbootstrap.com/2018/01/18/bootstrap-4/) has been released.

When can we expected BS4 enabled SmartAdmin release?
(High level ETA - e.g. within weeks, or in Feb-2018 or in Q1-2018 etc)
Hi,

We are aware! :)

In fact we have been contributing to bootstrap's beta for a while now.

Regarding update, see my post here: https://wrapbootstrap.com/theme/smartadmin-responsive-webapp-WB0573SK0/comments?page=85#C71820

Thanks,

Hi,

Today we have Bootstrap 4.0 (released) and Angular 6.
What is your plans about update Bootstrap and Angular?

Thank you,

Hello,

This is to address all questions in regards to future plans and version updates for SA.

We started our BS4 update with beta 3 and we will have a long way to go still. There are a lot of new components and breaking changes that will soon follow. To keep up with the design & technical trend we will be taking out certain features and introducing a ton more.

The following list of features will be omitted from next release:
- Ajax version (HTML/PHP)
- SmartForms
- Drop IE 9 support (not sure about IE10 yet, we will see)
- And a couple of other features

Features to be included:
- HBS templating
- BS4 update and all its core features
- Pre-packaged using gulp tasks and bundler
- Non-destructive plugin integration (meaning you can update the plugins yourself without compromising design environment)
- 100% flexbox and SASS based application
- much much more features

When will it be released?
We do not know and will not release the date till 2 weeks before it is released. We will also be increasing the prices of our licenses in the next release, so its a good time to get your copy today :)

Thanks,
Support
thks
UPDATE!

Would just like to clarify for anyone who is new and reading this.

- We do not wait several months to release updates, and we will certainly never make you wait 9+ months for a simple update. So expect our updates to be pushed between 1-2 months period.
- We take all your suggestions to heart, so if you need any features make sure you send it to us via support_at_myorange_dot_ca
- We will send our beta invites for BS4 version in a few weeks time
- All our updates are absolutely free, so you can purchase the theme today and get the free update once its released.

Thanks,

I would like to buy. Is there a way to try this one before buying?
Hi,

Unfortunately no, we do not offer trial versions as the demo is available online to analyze.

Hi Guys

Has anyone figured out how to get the Bootstrap Tool Tips to be destroyed after clicking the full screen button option on a jarviswidget? They linger on the screen after you've click the button. It's only failing on Firefox. I realise it's a Bootstrap issue but just wondering if anyone else has come across this and fixed it.
hi,

I believe this is something better asked in a public discussion forum like stackoverflow.com or you can ask the bootstrap authors directly on their github page (https://github.com/twbs/bootstrap).

Thanks,

For those interested I used this code to fix my issue with the Tool Tips.

$('[rel="tooltip"]').on('click', function () {
$(this).tooltip('hide');
})

$('[rel="tooltip"]').hover(function() {

$(this).tooltip('show');

},function () {

$(this).tooltip('hide');

}
);
Hi,

Just a tiny suggestion. It would be helpful if, when downloading the zip file it was named something more meaningful. When I download it, it is always called WB0573SK0.zip, no matter what version I get. Something like SmartAdmin_1.9.1.0.zip would seem to make more sense.

:)

Kent
Hi Kent,

I would have done that as well. However the zipfile is generated by wrapbootstrap's server, we don't have any control over it. Hopefully Wrapbootstrap will see your comment and make the necessary adjustments.

I bought the template, while using the PHP SEND version, on a web server, the page does not load. Is there support for this?
Hi,

Please go through our documentation and follow instructions for the PHP build.

Thanks,
Support
By uploading the PHP version to my server I've got the following error:

Warning: require_once(vendor/autoload.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in init.php on line 3

Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required vendor/autoload.php' (include_path='.:/opt/alt/php70/usr/share/pear') in init.php on line 3

There isn't a folder named vendor included, how do I fix this?
Hi,

Did you generate the vendor file first?

See our docs on how to do that with steps.

Thanks

Yes I did, my faillure..

I have another error with my font awesome:

Failed to decode downloaded font:/fonts/font-awesome/fontawesome-webfont.woff2?v=4.5.0

OTS parsing error: invalid version tag
It could be issue with fontawesome git number, try v4.7.0; which is their current version (https://github.com/FortAwesome/Font-Awesome)
v4.7.0 gives the same error

Hello, I would like to be able to rewrite a piece of code in the jarvis.widget.ng2.js script in angular (node_modules: smartadmin-plugin)
for something like:
line 202
var widget_url = location.hash.replace (/ ^ # /, '');
change to:
var widget_url = (location.hash)? location.hash.replace (/ ^ # /, ''): location.pathname;
because I want to use the angulara template with routing without a hash and I have a problem because the widgets do not save in localstorage correctly, and I would not want to change the code of this script every time after downloading npm install
Thank you in advance for completing my request :)
Greetings Marcin

Hi and Thanks for a great template.

I'd like to add some filter buttons on top of the responsive grid between the search and page items. These controls look like they are created from a minimized css file? How can I accomplish this?

Hey,

I'm sorry if the question was already asked, but I could't find the answer.

We are using LARAVEL. Can we use this theme (BS3 version) in our Laravel project?
If yes, how ?

Thanks!
FAB
Hi,

Your question is very specific to your development need and requirement. We do not provide any Laravel version, therefore we cannot answer this for you. But it should be doable if you know how.

hi,

We have some strict guidelines for support. Also we ask our customers repeatedly not to post random codes on the comments page as it confuses other customers. Once you are able to reach us via the proper support channel & meeting our rules and guidelines for support, help will be provided. We also do not provide any level of support on this comments page alone as it lacks code formatting, no ability to index, delete, collapse or even edit a comment. No ability to upload screenshots. So please follow our rules for support.

Hi
What exactly does the asp.net core 2.0 project of this template contain.
I'm thinking of buying this template, but I need to know whether the asp.net core 2.0 project actually contains some web api services that interact with angular 5 and some C# code or whether the asp.net core 2.0 part is just the default starter template that comes with .NET

Thanks
Thanks for the answer :(

Hi,
How can I change the template to RTL?
hi,

Check your documentation.

Jquery-color released a new 3.0 alpha release yesterday. This is breaking the Angular 5 build of the seed projects (running npm install then ng build fails regarding jquery-color). To resolve, change package.json from "jquery-color": "git+https://github.com/jquery/jquery-color.git" to "jquery-color": "git+https://github.com/jquery/jquery-color.git#9e5e04c1c4ee66427fbe04cfce8155b76748ca64". This will make sure that it is using the 2.1.2 commit of jquery-color, not the alpha.
Hi,

Thanks for the intel, but this shouldn't be happening as we do not have the ^ mark in the version number. So it should only download the exact version specified in the json file.

I will take another look.

Thanks,
Support
It is pointing to github, it is not specifying a version. It is getting jquery-color.git, which will pull the master branch. As master branch was updated yesterday, it is now getting a new jquery-color version.
Hi,

You are correct, I should probably do a patch update immediately. Its just, we are really focused on the next release (bootstrap 4.0 update), not sure if its worth the effort to release a patch. I will make a note in the Item description > Changelog section, so at-least users will be aware.

Regards,
Sunny
Hi team,
I'm trying to implement the select2 ajax function but all the time the result is the same.
Example code:
$("#select2ajax").select2({
placeholder: "Search for a repository",
minimumInputLength: 1,
ajax: { // instead of writing the function to execute the request we use Select2's convenient helper
url: "https://api.github.com/search/repositories",
dataType: 'json',
quietMillis: 250,
data: function (term, page) {
return {
q: term, // search term
};
},
results: function (data, page) { // parse the results into the format expected by Select2.
// since we are using custom formatting functions we do not need to alter the remote JSON data
return { results: data.items };
},
cache: true
},
initSelection: function (element, callback) {
// the input tag has a value attribute preloaded that points to a preselected repository's id
// this function resolves that id attribute to an object that select2 can render
// using its formatResult renderer - that way the repository name is shown preselected
var id = $(element).val();
if (id !== "") {
$.ajax("https://api.github.com/repositories/" + id, {
dataType: "json"
}).done(function (data) { callback(data); });
}
},
//formatResult: repoFormatResult, // omitted for brevity, see the source of this page
//formatSelection: repoFormatSelection, // omitted for brevity, see the source of this page
dropdownCssClass: "bigdrop", // apply css that makes the dropdown taller
escapeMarkup: function (m) { return m; } // we do not want to escape markup since we are displaying html in results
});

Result:

Hi Gon,

We have some strict guidelines to produce support tickets. We ask our users to not approach us via the comments page or leave random codes in the comments page which could confuse the next user. You have to reach us via the support email, instructions are found in the docs and also here: https://wrapbootstrap.com/user/MyOrange

Regarding support for third party plugins, such as select 2, this is not covered in our basic support plan. You may purchase our premium support for these type of integrations.

thanks,
Support
Hi,

Short question about SmartAdmin - is there any possibility to turn off menu section? I want to have just clear main content section but without menu on left (or top or any other side ;) ).

Thank you in advance.

Best regards
Hi,

That would call for a customization request. You can send us an email with your license ID for a quote. It shouldn't take more than an hour to give you the customized CSS file.

Thanks,
Support
