as in the 2.0 release, when attempting to use a dark header or dark transparent header, there seems to be no built-in provision to have 2nd and/or 3rd level dropdowns in the menu which are styled to match the header. When you have a 2nd level menu for example, the dropdowns are styled for the white menu, not the dark or dark transparent
Hi,

Many thanks for your message. We do much appreciate it.

It seems, we forgot to add dark submenu examples in our feature reach header options. At the moment, you may add the following code to your custom CSS code for dark submenu example and everything will work properly.

.hs-sub-menu, .hs-mega-menu {
background-color: black;
}

Please feel free to reach us at support@htmlstream.com If you have any questions and our support team will be back within a short time.

I for one am curious how you guys use this template. Would be awesome to see your work by giving us some links.

Would be nice @HtmlStream to include a list of sites that use your template, of course with the consent of the users.

For some reason I can only see the first few comments. Page 2 is 3 years ago. I have tried Chrome and Edge.

The template looks awesome!

I was wondering when the styler will be released?

Thanks!

Hi Judson,

Many thanks for your message.

1. We are not sure why the comment page is not loading fully for you, you may try to open from different browser and check it out or you may also clean the cache of your browser.

2. We could not add style switcher to v2.1update as It did not pass the testing stage. It was only effecting loading time to live demo pages and we did not want to hold the update because of this issue.

However, the great news It is fully working and currently you may check and use the beta version of it here:

https://htmlstream.com/preview/unify-v2.2-beta/

We hope you will love it and we are looking forward to hearing some feedback from you about the new style switcher.

Meanwhile, please feel free to reach us If you have more questions or suggestions for future updates.

I am trying to embed an HTML (with a Folium map) inside your template, but, cannot get any of the known solutions to work. How do I replace an image in your template with my own HTML file?
Hi,

Many thanks for your message.

As we understood the Folium Map is based on Python and we are not sure that It supports static HTML page. Please note, Unify is a static HTML Template and our support does not cover backend functionalities and third party library integrations. We hope for your kind understanding.

Please do let us know If you have more questions.

Hi guys,

All of this is Safari on a Mac.

Just checking out v2.1 to see what is available.

The shortcodes section has plenty of issues: the "show code" button doesn't do anything; when I select bases or blocks and then select one of those items the "all" button is highlighted again.

Quite a few of your modal demos (e.g. newspaper, flip) seem broken.

Tabs: this is very difficult to navigate. In e.g. tab v1-1 I can't tell the difference between the first slide-up-down demo and the first accordion demo.

Overall there is so much on many pages it is impossible to find what you need efficiently. The card panels page for instance could be reorganised to show 4 or 5 smaller panels in each row just to demonstrate the colors. The badges page doesn't need a full line for each badge variation.

Great work but please make it easier for us to find what we need.
Hi,

Many thanks for your feedback!

First of all, we do truly appreciate all of your feedback and taking time to share it with us! We always listen all of our community feedback and keep improving Unify Template and we can assure your suggestions will be noted.

1. We confirm the Safari issue and soon It will be fixed. Meanwhile, you may access from Chrome or FireFox browsers for better experience.

2. It seems we missed to fix "newspaper" and "hashlink" demos but others seems works fine. They will be fixed in our next update soon.

3. There is no difference between slide-up-down and accordion demos on desktop resolutions but the difference is on mobile resolutions. They are different modes on mobile resolution only. We will improve the tabs page making more easily to understand.

4. We absolutely agree with you and understand this issue and continuously working on visual improvements. Yesterday, we pushed a new version v2.1 of Unify Template where we added sidebar navigation with search panel including filtering. Comparing with v2.0 Unify the difference of shortcodes navigation is huge.

Once again, many thanks for your feedback and all your feedback will be implemented in upcoming updates soon.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have more questions or suggestions. We are always welcome any suggestions for improving Unify Template.

Hello! Is there any way to change the primary color? All the primary colors? I need it to be a very specific orange. I was told to simply to rewrite the color in the unify.css but it means that I have to rewrite all over again because of the update. How should I proceed please?
By the way, there is still no custom "select" input field and the basic bootstrap one seems ugly next to Unify forms !!! Unfortunately, I find it hard to find the information I need, the preview is full of typos and it's frequent to also see them in code's comments. My company purchased the template so I don't mind but if I was the one who paid for it, I wouldn't be a satisfied customer...
Hello!

Many thanks for your message and your feedback.

1. Please note, Unify v2.0 comes with full SASS support where you may change easily the primary color with a single line of change. Also, It is recommended way to style your pages via SASS since It does not duplicate by overwriting the original CSS codes, It just replaces all the changes in the result the amount of CSS codes will remain same.

However, you may go with the traditional way by changing (overwriting) directly CSS codes which we do not recommend. The great news is we are preparing a ready to use tool (Style Switcher) where you may choose any colors and directly generate online your custom styled CSS code. Unfortunately, we could not add "Style Switcher" to v2.1update as It did not pass the testing stage. It was only effecting loading time to live demo pages and we did not want to hold the update because of this issue but It is available online in a beta mode here:

https://htmlstream.com/preview/unify-v2.2-beta/

We hope you will change your indent after using a bit more time Unify v2.0 as we put lots of effort over the year on it considering for any type of users and many cases. We can assure you that the power of Unify v2.0 is huge If you dive on it deeply.

Please feel free to reach us If you have more questions. We would be more than glad to help and answer for them.

How will the final Bootstrap 4 final production version affect my ability to use and modify Unify 2.x down the road?

Bootstrap 4 is still in Alpha release, and the development seems to be taking an unusually long time in the current alpha 6 for eight months which seems to indicate there may yet be major changes before the beta release and then the final production release.
Hi,

Many thanks for your message!

Based on our experience we assume the changes will not be much as Bootstrap 4 is already under alpha version over 2 years and major improvements already completed. As we know currently Bootstrap developers are working on brand new Documentation, improvements and minor bug fixes. On top of that, we do not think It will include some major global changes. In addition, we have started Unify v2.0 with Bootstrap early alpha versions and on each updates the upgrade process was quite easy. Anyway, we will include the upgrade process in details for switching Bootstrap updates (versions).

Please feel free to reach us anytime If you have more questions.

How can I change the top navigation menus to drop down when I hover over instead of having to click the menu item.

You may just change it though data attributes from the HTML file. For example:

data-dropdown-event="click" to data-dropdown-event="hover"

do i need all scss? i do not need all shortcodes.
Hi,

Thank you for your message.

You may easily control needed shortcodes through SASS (SCSS). We have over 100 scss files where you may easily switch off unused components in your project. However, If you would like to make CSS optimization in your end project, we highly suggest you to read our documentation "CSS (SASS) Structure" section to understand the methodology of Unify CSS.

Please feel free to each us at support@htmlstream.com for further assistance and our support team will provide your detailed answer for your any questions.

How is the best way to change the primary color (#72c02c) in the unify.css. I did a search and found 341 occurrences that I can do a global replace on but I saw a post above regarding changing the color with SASS. Can you give an example on how to use SASS?

Thanks
Hi,

Thank you for your feedback.

You can change the color of the theme in variables.scss which is located in html/assets/include/scss/settings

For example, #72c02c is the default color of the Unify template. You may change this color to any desired color from the variables.scss file.

$g-color-primary: #72c02c !default;

Please feel free to contact us at support@htmlstream.com for further assistance with your license ID.

I just bought the theme and saw in older comments that there were multiple color themes provided as specific css files but they don't seem to be in the latest version. Is there a different way to switch color themes? Are there more provided beyond the default one?

Thanks,

Alex
Hi Alex,

Many thanks fir your message.

There are two ways of changing theme colors:

1. By using SASS (SCSS) which is recommended way as It does not duplicate the code, It just replaces whole used primary colors to your own. In addition, you may change anything from provided SASS files and switch off unused components and switch on when they are needed. The possibilities are endless. Here is an example for changing the primary color:

You can change the color of the theme in variables.scss which is located in html/assets/include/scss/settings

For instance, #72c02c is the default color of the Unify template. You may change this color to any desired color from the variables.scss file.

$g-color-primary: #72c02c !default;

2. Traditional (classic) way is using overwritten (re-written) colors but we do not recommend doing this way as It duplicates the original code by overwriting to different (chosen) color. At the moment, we are working on Style Switcher tool where you will be able to automatically generate your choice of color including layout styles and fonts. Currently, It is in a Beta stage and you may try it here:

https://htmlstream.com/preview/unify-v2.2-beta/

Please feel free to reach us If you have any questions and also you may contact us at support@htmlstream.com for any support related questions.

Hi!

I am searching an automatically resized 'responsive' font size in Unify.
S..o in desktop browser bigger and in mobile browser smaller font size could be the best for me but I would like to user the same css class. Is it possible?

thanks so much.
Hi,

Many thanks for your message.

We use class based approach in our demos but you may easily achieve it by using CSS Media Queries. Here is an example:

<p class="about-block">....</p>

.about-block {
font-size: 45px;
}

@media (min-width: 575px) {
.about-block {
font-size: 25px;
}
}

In addition, here is an article which includes some detailed examples for CSS Media Queries:
