Hi!

What is the preferred way to change the icon size responsively for example u-icon-size--xl
So I would like to use XL icon size on large screen (u-icon-size--xl) and LG icon size (u-icon-size--lg) on mobile screen.

thanks
Hi,

Many thanks for your message. We do much appreciate it.

Currently, you may use Bootstrap Responsive utilities classes to hide in different screen resolutions. You may check the full table of class names here:

Hi!

I would like to hide the top header navbar when a user using mobile devices and scrolling down, but on desktop devices I wanted to show it always. How can I do that?

Hi, i wanted to leave a short review here:

I purchased this theme because it appeared to me very flexible and contained a lot of nice components. The big disadventage is that i am not really happy with code style and the documentation. For example instead of adapting the sass variables of bootstrap framework css properties always get overwritten with "!important" - not a good practice in my opinion. Partially the components are not documented at all. For example the available headers - there is no docu about what css and js files are required - further when i tried to combine megamenu with different header styles - stuff was acting weird. However, visually the theme is nice but ugly in development - unusable for me! ("Innen hui - aussen pfui")
Hello,

Thanks a lot for taking time and sharing your feedback with us. We do truly appreciate it!

1. Classes with !important; Unify comes with its own CSS Methodology which is based on many popular CSS Methodologies like BEM, AtomicCSS, ITCSS and more. We never overwrite default Bootstrap classes with !important instead, we use Global Classes (g-classes) which holds !important and extends any components weather it is Bootstrap, Unify or any other third party components. Even more, nowadays Bootstrap also uses more and more global stand alone classes and also holds !important like mb-1 (margin-bottom: 1rem !important;), mx-0 (margin-left: 0 !important; margin-right: 0 !important;) and in such classes are extended with g-classes e.g. g-mb-20, g-mt-10 etc. We highly encourage you to read Unify v2 Documentation (CSS Structure) for more details and examples.

2. Components; since Unify 2 comes with huge collection of UI Components we put lots of effort on Shortcodes Pages and tried to make it a part of documentation where users are able to directly copy/past shortcodes and build pages. For example, all demo pages including One Pages, E-Commerce , Blog & Magazine etc. demos are build with Shortcodes Pages. However, we are continuously improving the shortcodes and by each update It will be much better and better.

3. Headers; we completely agree regarding the Documentation and understand it fully that we still missing the documentation. We are working on the Header Documentation and It will be available within a couple of weeks. However, we included over 85 header demos to easily start and we provide fast reliable support for all of our community. Meanwhile, please do not hesitate to contact us at support@htmlstream.com If you are having any issues or difficulties and our support team will guide you and help with any issues. We guarantee that you will be satisfied with our support.

We always welcome any feedback and do our best to improve Unify Template. Once again, we thank you a lot for your feedback!

Please feel free to reach us anytime If you have more questions or suggestions for future updates.

Hi,
I have downloaded the latest version - 2.1, but I cant change the theme colour anymore.
I used to be able to do so with the previous version (1.8) by replacing default.css with the <colour>.css but now the css structure seems to have changed. Could you please advise how to change the theme colour (green) to a colour of my choice.
Thanks
Richa
Hi,

Thank you for your message.

There are two ways of changing theme colors:

1. By using SASS (SCSS) which is recommended way as It does not duplicate the code, It just replaces whole used primary colors to your own. In addition, you may change anything from provided SASS files and switch off unused components and switch on when they are needed. The possibilities are endless. Here is an example for changing the primary color:

You can change the color of the theme in variables.scss which is located in html/assets/include/scss/settings

For instance, #72c02c is the default color of the Unify template. You may change this color to any desired color from the variables.scss file.

$g-color-primary: #72c02c !default;

2. Traditional (classic) way is using overwritten (re-written) colors but we do not recommend doing this way as It duplicates the original code by overwriting to different (chosen) color. At the moment, we are working on Style Switcher tool where you will be able to automatically generate your choice of color including layout styles and fonts. Currently, It is in a Beta stage and you may try it here:

https://htmlstream.com/preview/unify-v2.2-beta/

Hi,

I am wondering how to get equal height column, currently whatever blocks I am using such as "col-lg-9 g-mb-80" block is growing based on content, but I need equal column with button at bottom of the block. I tried equal-height, equal-height, equal-height-column but of no use.

Please let me know how to achieve this.
Hi,

Many thanks for your message.

Since Bootstrap 4 is fully based on flexbox which includes by default equal height in block columns, we dropped equal-height script in v2.0 Unify. You may contact us at support@htmlstream.com with more information such as screenshots, a link to your page etc. and our support team will guide you.

We are looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Hi,

I referred to your documentation but I've got problem setting up Gulp on my PC (windows 10), the following is part of the errors I saw.

module.js:471 throw err: cannot find module... gulp.js

Do you have a different guide for Windows, I read that node.js (btw, which version should I use?) gives up searching for files when the paths are too long. I tried putting unify on the root D: drive itself but still had the same error. Tried reinstalling gulp (global) to no avail.

Thank you in advance.

Hi Team,

Is it possible to use the Unify Blog or Magazine template as custom theme in wordpress?
Hi,

Thank you for your message and interest in Unify Template.

Please note, Unify is a static HTML Template and it can be used in any CMS including WordPress. In order to use in WordPress, first you should convert Unify to WordPress which requires backend development.

How is form validation form? used to be jQuery Validation Plugin. How to be now?
Hello,

Many thanks for your message.

We were using SkyForms Pro premium library in Unify v1.9.x and dropped it fully in v2.0 Unify as we fully re-written from scratch all forms including form validations but unfortunately currently we do not have examples in shortcodes for all form components. However, we still use jQuery Validation Plugin and you may find an example of usage (Form Validations) in the following page:

https://htmlstream.com/preview/unify-v2.1/e-commerce/page-checkout-1.html

In addition, we will soon improve Forms Page and add form layout examples as a quick start layouts with lots of other form features.

In addition, you may contact us at support@htmlstream.com If you are having any difficulties or issues with Unify v2.0 and our support team will help you.

1mb css file is unusable at that size. what is the suggested way to reduce that? SCSS partials?
aflorin PURCHASED
using gulp-uglifycss, it brings it down to 861kb which helps a bit.
This info is detailed in the latest documentation if I recall correctly.
If not, take a look at UnCSS. I got my CSS reduced to about 100kb and after I compressed it around 50kb.

Hello,

Thank you for your messages. We do much appreciate it!

@cborgia Yes, you may optimize the CSS size with SASS switching off unused components. However, we suggest to consider using Gulp UnCSS as suggested @ProduseSoftware.

We will include detailed step by step information about optimization tools and methods in future updates.

The template comes with the following two files:

assets/include/scss/custom/_custom.scss
assets/include/_custom.scss

From the docs and the include line in unify.scss, it seems we are meant to use "assets/include/scss/custom/_custom.scss" for our own sass code. If so, why is "assets/include/_custom.scss" part of the file set?

I ask because at first I didn't notice the first file and missed it in the docs so I tried to use the second which was not being processed.
Hello,

Thank you for your comment.

It seems, we left assets/include/_custom.scss by mistake and upcoming update v2.2 Unify will include fixed version of customization SASS files. We truly apologize for the occurred issue.

plugins/animate.css
line-icons/line-icons.css

It seems that my page acts the same with or without them. Thanks
Hello,

Many thanks for your message.

You should use them when your those components (e.g. line icons) are used in your webpage. For example, if you are using the following icons on your page then you should link them:

Hello,

First of all, we congratulated you on the release of Unify 2. It is really amazing!

We have two questions about the premium plugins included:

- In Revolution Slider, it is posible to throw an event when a video ends? (Now we have to "find" the video and add an onended event)

- In Cube Portfolio, how can you use the panel that opens below the item without using an external file? (inline)
Example: http://scriptpie.com/cubeportfolio/live-preview/templates/gallery/
Note: I asked the developers, and they answered me that it is posible, but I have to ask it through you

Thanks
Hi,

Many thanks for your message and kind words. We do truly appreciate it.

1. You may check Revolution Slider's documentation for all its settings here:

https://www.themepunch.com/revsliderjquery-doc/slider-revolution-jquery-5-x-documentation/

2. Regarding the Cube Portfolio, you may check the following page for the same example usage in (Bradning Works) section:

https://htmlstream.com/preview/unify-v2.1/unify-main/pages/page-about-me-1.html

Please note, however it still requires an external file by using AJAX and unfortunately we do not have inline example as it requires custom work if you would like to use.

Please feel free to reach us if you have more questions.

Hi htmlstream,

There seems to be some errors in the countdown scripts:
https://htmlstream.com/preview/unify-v2.1/unify-main/shortcodes/shortcode-blocks-countdowns.html

Countdown #7 is showing 23 months 5 days when it should be 23 months 2 days, whereas others are showing 707 days when it should be 705 days.

I was trying to use the scripts on an event site and noticed the discrepancies. Please advise.

Thank you.
Hello,

Thank you for your message.

We believe you are missing some days in counting. You may check the end date of the countdown which is given by data attribute. For example:

data-end-date="2019/08/09"

Here you may compare our countdown dates examples with the 9th of August, 2019 which is equal to 2019/08/09 date (data-end-date="2019/08/09"):

https://days.to/9-august/2019

In addition, here is the official plugin's website where you may find more advanced settings:

http://hilios.github.io/jQuery.countdown/

We hope the above information will be helpful.

Hi,

I would like to disable ALL animations globally.

This did not help:

settings: {
rtl: false,
animationEasing: false,
animationDuration: false
}

Menu is still jumping around, scales down. Very irritating.

How can that be done?

Thanks!
Hello,

Many thanks for your message.

Please note, we do not have the above shown code example setting in Unify Template. In order to support that format, it requires some custom coding.

However, you may switch of the navigation submenu animations by just removing data attributes on the HTML page. You should remove the following data attributes on the HTML pages:

data-animation-in="fadeIn"
data-animation-out="fadeOut"

Please feel free to contact us at support@htmlstream.com for further support assistance.

Nice template thanks. On the Lawyer One Page template, How do I prevent the "About" link being highlighted until you scroll to this section? I don't think it should be highlighted when you first open the page.
Hello,

Thank you for your message.

You may remove "active" class from the navigation and when the page is loaded the "About" will not be highlighted. However, we suggest to add another menu item "Home" and give the active to it.

Hi,

Hello,

Thank you for your message.

If you mean that you would like to have a click mode instead hover mode in the mega menu, please add "data-event="click" to the submenu parent. Here is a live demo for it:
