Just a heads up for anyone using SCSS and 2.3, you need to make sure you add the following to your custom variables file (/html/assets/include/scss/custom/_custom.variables.scss)

// Variables
@import "settings/variables";

Otherwise, it will not know where to find the primary variables you're wanting to override.
Hi,

Thank you for your message and feedback.

Please note, this issue has been fixed in v2.3 Unify and you do not need to include @import "settings/variables"; to the file (/html/assets/include/scss/custom/_custom.variables.scss) as it already imported to _custom.scss file (/html/assets/include/scss/custom/_custom.scss). You may add to the _custom.variables.scss a new primary value and compile it:

// Primary Color
$g-color-primary: #f00 !default;

In the result the primary color of the page will be red in Unify Main pages.

Please feel free to reach us if you have more questions.

@htmlstream: do you guys have a Slack channel or something more immediate for giving support?
That would be awesome, Slack/Discord any of the channels would be great.
Hello,

Many thanks for your suggestions. We do truly appreciate it.

Unfortunately, at the moment we do not have such options. However, that's great idea to have a community place for Unify users to discuss any type of questions related to template. We will consider your suggestion.

Please do not hesitate to let us know if you have more suggestions, we always try to improve our product and services.

Dear HTML Stream,

Thank you for your new release of the theme/template. I can see the sheer amount of work that has gone into it. Most of us now either have or want to move to Bootstarp 4, due to the advantages it offers.

I would like to make a suggestion. I have not found any problems, so these are just my suggestions based on experience, having spent 25 years in software development!

- Are there parts of your theme/template which still use old code, or are not using the new features of Bootstrap 4 fully? If yes, and if you are doing certain things for compatibility, I suggest that, you keep the old code in some legacy folder in the template (so that if some people need it, they can use it). But for all other users, you can provide layouts/code which fully utilize Bootstrap 4's features.

This thought just came to my mind, as I know from experience, that 'code bloat' can occur when there are major new releases of software.

As you know there is significant overhead for Bootstrap, and then the template/theme on top of it. So anything we all can do to keep the byte-size smaller not only helps with performance, but also with code maintenance, changes, etc.

You may of course already have done all of this!

Thanks.
Hello,

Thank you very much for your feedback and suggestions. We do truly appreciate it!

Unify 2 is written completely from scratch and it does not use any code from v1.x Unify. Regarding the size, we totally agree that the end product should be as much as smaller and faster page load. However, Unify is by default is not the end product, it is set of UI components to ease designers and developers work process. We suggest to optimize the end product like removing all unused CSS codes, minimizing all source files etc.

Once again, many thanks for your kind feedback and suggestions.

Please feel free to reach us if you have more questions.

I know there is Uncss and all that but I would still like to have a version where you build from small rather than from massive size. Why even have a few gulp-templates from get go with uncss and various setups.

Just a thought for future :).
Hi,

Many thanks for your feedback and suggestions. We do much appreciate it.

We will consider with our team to create Unify based mini themes with much smaller size for this case.

Please feel free to contact us if you have other suggestions. We would be more than happy to hear from you.

Hello,

Great theme!

I have some questions about v2.3.

1. I want to learn the style-switcher plugin, can it run on localhost? How to configure the parameter?

2. There are some bugs in revolution-slider and master-slider on v2.3 (I downloaded these two sliders codes 4 months ago), have they been updated yet?

3. These two paths on v2.3 downloaded file are wrong:
html/multipage/marketing/assets/img-temp/1200x800/
html/multipage/real-estate/assets/img-temp/1200x800/
Are the right paths as follow?
html/multipage/marketing/assets/img-temp/1920x800/
html/multipage/real-estate/assets/img-temp/1920x800/

Looking forward your reply!

Thanks for your help!

4. The shortcodes pages search bar doesn't work on localhost.
Hi Vid,

Thanks a lot for your message!

1. The Style Switcher is meant to use only for live preview to show how template can be changed and for beginners to download the theme colors etc.. Unfortunately we do not have any documentation for it.

2. Could you please send us an email to support@htmlstream.com with more details about the issue and our support team will check it in details?

3. We will fix it.

4. Please note, search panel uses AJAX and it requires a localhost server environment like MAMP, here is the link for it:

https://www.mamp.info/en/

Please feel free to reach is if you have more questions.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply!

1. If I want to change the style offline quickly, how to do?

2. I will sent email to you when I sorted out the bugs.

4. It doesn't work in IIS and WAMP, does it have to configure some parameters?
Hi,

Thank you for getting back to us and detailed feedback.

1. If you would like to change theme color, you may do it with SASS by changing a single line of code and re-compile the SASS source files. You may check the documentation of Unify for more details regarding changing theme color.

In addition, you may use the live link to change the styles but we do not recommend this approach since it duplicates the existing code.

2. We are looking forward to hearing your email.

4. We have double tested on localhost and it everything is working perfectly for us. Make sure, that you have not added any additional paths. For example, the link in your browser should be like this:

localhost/Unify-v2.3/html/unify-main/shortcodes/index.html

Furthermore, you may find the JSON file (autocomplete-data-shortcode-search.json) in the following path:

Unify-v2.3/html/assets/include/ajax/autocomplete-data-shortcode-search.json

Please feel free to reach us at support@htmlstream.com for further assistance.

How i can use this template on Yii2? I am a fresh man on web.
Hi,

Thank you for your message.

Please note, Unify is a static HTML Template and first it requires to convert Yii2 Framework in order to make it compatible. Unfortunately, we do not have any documentation for it.

Hi folks,

I found the following comment from approximately 2 years ago.

>>> I'm trying to disable the mega-menu in the shop theme from showing onMousover - I only want to show it onClick.

Unfortunately the solution given no longer works, as the code has changed. I'm using V2.2 at the moment. Any suggestions appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike
Hi Mike,

Many thanks for your message.

Unify v2.x has been fully overwritten and it does not compatible with v1.x Unify. Now, you may just add data-event="click" to the <li> and it will work as onClick. Here is an example code:

<li class="nav-item hs-has-sub-menu g-mx-10--lg g-mx-15--xl" data-event="click">

In addition, you may check the Header Shortcode page for examples here:

https://htmlstream.com/preview/unify-v2.3/unify-main/shortcodes/headers/

Also, here is an example page (Submenu onClick) for your case:

https://htmlstream.com/preview/unify-v2.3/unify-main/shortcodes/headers/classic-header--submenu-onclick.html

Please feel free to contact us at support@htmlstream.com if you are having any issues with Unify Template.

I really want to use the "app" demo theme. But in the file for that demo, all that's there is index.html and an assets folder with barely anything in it. I read the docs but they don't make much sense as far as knowing which files go to which demo etc. So I am a bit confused here, hoping that my $25 for this theme was not a waste.
I just want to setup the app demo theme to the point where I can start customizing it to my own liking. Which files do I all need to include?
Hi,

Thank you for your message and sharing your experience with Unify.

Please note, all vendor and global files are linked from the main assets folder (html/assets/..). The "app" demo assets folder includes only the "app" demo related files like CSS, Images and SASS files. The reason behind is not to repeat for each demo the vendor files like Bootstrap, jQuery etc. Otherwise, the download package will be very large to download and the updating process of each demo will take tremendous time since Unify includes many demo options. For that reason, we have created a list of unused source files for each demos in Unify.

Please check out the README.txt file in the "app" folder. It includes a guideline for removed unused source files. In addition, each demo folder comes with README.txt file.

We hope the above answer will help you. Please feel free to reach us at support@htmlstream.com for any support related question and our support team will guide you.

Hi!

The modal dialogs does not appear on IE11 with latest unify, only the waiting animation is displaying.
Hi,

Thank you for your message.

You should link custombox_legacy_min.js file in order to compatible with IE11. An example HTML linking code:

<script src="../../assets/vendor/custombox/custombox.legacy.min.js"></script>

Please do let us know if you have more questions.

Hi, where can I add letter-spacing to the main-navigation.
somehow it is always overruled in the CSS.
Hi,

Thank you for your message. First of all, we apologize for such a late response.

You may just add utility class to the navigation which is Global Class in Unify, e.g. g-letter-spacing-2

I still haven't gotten my question answered and I'm still just as confused as I was when I first wrote my comment. How did this theme even make it into WrapBootstrap???? The file structure is extremely confusing!!!!! The readme.txt makes absolutely no sense! Why couldn't you guys just include all the necessary files for each demo? It'd be so much easier, I've now wasted 3 days trying to figure out how to make the app demo look like the actual demo but I cant figure out which files need to go where!!!!! I'm getting sick and tired of these vague bullshit responses that don't explain anything in detail on how to do something!
Example; the readme.txt says to leave all the files in the global assets folder. Well if I leave them in there, then how the hell am I supposed to get them into my new site directory? That's what I'm saying, the readme.txt directions make absolutely no sense whatsoever. Nor do they explain which files need to be in your new site directory. Sloppy organization
also, I do not have this file anywhere in the theme directory "full/cubeportfolio/css/cubeportfolio.min.css" you guys really need to explain how to use this theme better im so confused its not even funny.
I'm also not finding "html/assets/vendor/tether.min.js" anywhere in the vendor folder either. Please tell me how this file hierarchy is supposed to look for the app demo page please, this shit makes no sense at all.

Hello, I have a few questions I can't find in the theme.

1. How can I set the submenu of the main menu dark? When setting up a dark header it's better to have the submenu in the same color. If the header is black I need the submenus black too.

2. When setting up the header with some opacity the submenu ha that opacity too when I'd have to be colored with no opacity at all.

3. WHen using a sticky header and boxed design, the header goes all the width instead covering just the box, is it possible to cover only the box?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Thank you for your message. We do much appreciate it.

Since, Vitality and Unify are different product, merging components to each other might take some effort. Anyway, you may try to include all Google Map related javascript source files into your project folder.

If you will not be able to merge, please contact us at support@htmlstream.com with more details and our support team will check it out in details.
