I have noticed that the header image for the theme homepage (slideshow) is not responsive (when viewing on tablets or mobiles, or when reducing the browser window size).
Do you have a version of the theme where this is responsive, or have some guidelines on how to make it responsive?

That's the correct behaviour. It's not technically possible to make the background image responsive. Depending on the image, you can use "background-position" CSS to adjust the background image position for different mobile devices to achieve the best results.
