Hi KingStudio,

I want to start off by saying that your EyeCatcher web site template is beautiful and I love it! I'm excited to use it for my first photography web site to showcase my portfolio =) I have some knowledge of HTML and CSS and I have been adding my pictures to the template, customizing the menu, footer, little logo on the side as well as the little image that shows in the tab with the title.

Everything is working well so far, except for when I want to change the theme's colors, fonts, etc...

I read the documentation file and opened the "_variables.scss" as indicated (I'm using Microsoft Expression Web for editing), but no matter what color codes I enter in multiple places nothing changes at all in the theme.....it always keeps the same white/gray/black colors of the basic theme.

Is there something I'm doing wrong? Is there any guidance you could offer to help me customize the look of the template?? It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help.

Warm regards,
Tobi

Hi Tobi,

You will need a Sass preprocessor like ScoutApp for example: https://mhs.github.io/scout-app/ please follow the instructions from the Documentation, under Edit Colors & Styles: https://kingstudio.ro/demos/eyecatcher/documentation/documentation.html#sass-files the ScoutApp must be open and start the project to process the sass into css, in your ScoutApp project, please make sure to set project folder to the theme’s main folder, the input folder set to eyecatcher / scss and output folder to eyecatcher / css then it should work.

If you need more help, please contact us via email ( email link in documentation )

Kind Regards,
Csaba
