Unfortunately, I cant replicate your issue - is working very smooth for me.
Try to open in incognito - this will not load all your installed extensions and you can check if the issue persist.
Usually, browser extensions are the issue for many console errors (like Ad Blocker) or transition effects.
Another reason might be if the modal is very heavy - meaning: a lot of html code inside the modal (which is not the case because you have the same issue on the demo).
Please let me know - I will also check this on other devices.
